Abstract
Objective To study the characteristics of public health emergencies,occurred in schools and kindergartens.Methods Descriptive epidemiological analysis was conducted on such public health emergencies from 2004 to 2008.Results There were 53 reported public health emergencies in schools and kindergartens during this period,accounting for 96.36% of total public health emergencies in the district and including 2116 cases of illness.Conclusion Primary schools were the place where public health emergencies often occurred.Infection disease outbreaks were the major public health emergencies in schools,and the outbreaks of measles,mumps,influenza and varicella accounted for largest proportion.
