Abstract
Objective:To explore the common pathogenic species of vulvovaginal candidiasis,provide a scientific basis for clinical prevention and treatment.Methods:Vaginal discharges for fungal culture were obtained from 276 patients with vulvovaginal candidiasis.Chrom Agar Candida mediums were used for strain identification among 272 positive cultures.Results:The positive rate was 98.6% (272 patients),including 205 cases of candida albicans (75.4%) and the others (31 cases of candida glabrata,28 cases of candida tropicalis,3 cases of candida krusei,5 cases of other species) (24.6%).Conclusion:Candida albicans is a major pathogenic strain for vulvovaginal candidiasis,the secondary are candida glabrata,candida tropicalis and candida krusei.
