Abstract

To the Editor The study by Dr Righini and colleagues1 validated the use of an age-adjusted D-dimer cutoff level to rule out pulmonary embolism. The 6 different D-dimer assays used in the study were demonstrated to be equivalent in a previous meta-analysis.2
