Abstract
Aiming at 60Si2CrVAT spring steel produced by Huaigang Steel, the size, composition, morphlogy of non-metallic inclusions in molten steel were analyzed using metallographical and SEM-EDS analyses. The results showed that micro-inclusions were reduced by 70.79 % from 30.57/mm2 to 8.93/mm2 after LF refining and the qautity of inclusions decreased slightly after RH treatment. The qautity of inclusions in rolling products were increased slightly. In the smelting process, large inclusions were effectively removed. The analysis showed that the main inclusions in the steel were oxides, sulfide, and CaO(CaS)-Al2O3-SiO2 complex inclusions. In addition, the main inclusions in rolled products were mixed oxides.
