Abstract
[Objective] To understand the status of Hepatitis B virus infection and the immunization coverage rate of Hepatitis B vaccine of Tongzhou District in Beijing General Population of 1—15 years old, and evaluate the effect of Hepatitis B vaccine. [Methods] The multistage stratified cluster sampling was carried out to select general population aged 1-15 years. Epidemiological survey was perform for these subjects and the serum of them were collected. The HBV infection status and immunization status were investigated. The HBsAg, anti-HBs and anti-HBc were detected by ELISA. [Results] The immuniza- tion coverage rate of hepatitis B vaccine was 97.37% and timely birth doses rate was 87.83%. The prevalence rates of HBsAg, anti-HBs, anti-HBc and HBV infection rate were 0.66% (95%CI: 0.25%-1.57%), 46.71% (95%CI: 41.10%-52.31%), 1.64% (95%CI: 0.24%-3.04%) and 2.30% (95%CI: 0.62%-3.99%), respectively. The HBV infection rate for 1-15 years old reduced by 85.96% compared with the same population in 1992. [Conclusion] Because the hepatitis B vaccine was introduced into the expanded program on immunization (EPI) from 1992, the HBV infection rate for children less than 15 years old present high immunized and low infection rate. The health departments should strengthen the surveillance for children aged 7 years old.
