Persistent pain and swelling after tooth extraction: A masquerade of adenoid cystic carcinoma

Abstract
Adenoid cystic carcinoma is the second most common malignancy of the major and minor salivary gland and palate being the most common intraoral location. This tumor generally has a slow growth rate, and it is often present for several years before the patient seeks treatment. By judicious examination and proper investigation one can rule out the pathology at an earlier stage. Here we report a case of extensive adenoid cystic carcinoma involving the left hard palate, which reported to us after extraction of teeth. Keywords: Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma, Early diagnosis
