Abstract

The tofu and peanut shells are industrial waste derived from the processing of tofu and peanut cultivation. During this time almost not utilized except as animal feed or just thrown away (Anonymous, 2005). The material is processed through biodelignification by white rot fungi. The aim of this research is to find out the growth of mycelium in oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) and mushroom (Volvariella volvace) on alternative medium of tofu and peanut shell with certain parameter (length of mycelium, sprayer, and mycelium thickness). The method used in this research is Randomized Complete Design (RCD) with 2 factor patterns that is MJ type, M1J1 (Soy media tofu, oyster mushroom), M2J1 (Media dregs tofu, mushroom), M1J2 (peanut shell media, oyster mushroom), and M2J2 (Nutskin media, mushroom). The results showed that the most rapid growth of oyster mushrooms on peanut shell media on day 14 was 4cm and 21cm 21 days, with thin uneven mycelium spreading. While the slowest growth of mycelium in mushroom with dregs medium know on the 14th day and 21st day that is 1cm with deployment growth.
