Abstract

Light ad hoc network is a newly developing system structure in ad hoc network compared with radio frequency (RF) based ad hoc networks. Due to its unique characteristic in physical layer, LANET is a special plan that deploy networks in both sparse and dense situation. In ad hoc networks, most of the study focus on the medium access control (MAC) protocols and routing protocols. In this work, we pay attention to the physical layer, which use optical wireless communication to overcome the challenges in ad hoc network. Therefore, we offer LANET as a solution to hidden terminal problem.
