Abstract

The aim was to find out whether the change of the intensity of work, achieved by a combination of the rhythm of movements and resistance on working on bicycle ergometer, has any influence on estimated V02,max. On the basis of the results of testing 60 students of physical culture, it was concluded that either greater strain should be put on (regardless of the achieved combination of the rhythm of movements and resistance) or the average value of 2 or 3 strains taken for indirect estimation of V02max. The greater the estimated V02max, the greater the frequency of heart beats achieved al the appropriate greater intensity of work.
