Abstract

The importance of adequate and proper compensation to victims of personal injury accidents, which is a matter of both private and public importance, is discussed The case of Wells v Wells is presented and it is suggested that the system of calculating such awards should be simple to operate using such criteria which are easy to understand, such as life expectancy figures and tables that reflect the proper and true value of money.
