Abstract

Entrepreneurs strive to solve problems for their customers, who in turn pay for these solutions. Entrepreneurs must often get creative to craft these new or improved solutions that provide increased value to customers. Ideation is one approach that can generate a large number of high-quality ideas, often leading to these successful results. In this chapter, we introduce various brainstorming techniques that can be used by entrepreneurs. We also discuss the importance of brainstorming and applications within entrepreneurship. Finally, we introduce classroom exercises that can be used to introduce brainstorming topics to students, and allow them to learn these skills experientially.
