Handling Transportation Accidents caused by Human Error

Human error is often stated as the main factor causing transportation accidents. For the general public, news about transportation accidents with human errors as the cause is often interpreted as human error by system operators such as machinists, pilots, ship captains, and other professionals. This perception is not correct. There are many factors that can directly or indirectly encourage an operator to take inappropriate actions. Error itself is generally defined as failure to perform the ‘correct’ and desired action in a given situation. In addition, an error can be defined as such when the final action or result may not be that which was intended. This study employs qualitative research methods to evaluate the best methods of dealing with transportation accidents caused by human error. Keywords: Accidents, Human error, Others Factor
