Performance appraisal is an integral part of human resource management practices; however, one of the major challenge related to human resource management in a company is to establish an effective and performance appraisal system. While there are multiple procedures to measure employee performance, it is crucial for students studying human resource management to comprehend the benefits and drawbacks of the frequently utilized methods. This exercise provides students with an opportunity to become human resource consultants responsible for analyzing performance appraisal methods of a university and make recommendations to the administration regarding improvement.
