Sex Role Attitude, Gender, College StudentsPurpose Japanese are known for having traditional sex role attitudes and behaviors.However, recent studies have consistently found females sex role attitudes and behaviors are more liberal than those of men.It has also been found that sex role attitudes and behaviors are becoming more liberal among the younger generation.It is easy to assume that among college student those who are younger in age are more liberal in their sex role attitudes, which has not been confirmed.This study is a pilot study to see if college students' sex role attitudes would differ from year to year.The data was collected few years apart.This study is part of a larger study on differences between sex role attitudes and beliefs, and anticipated prospective behaviors among college students.This study compared college students' sex roles attitudes who enrolled in Psychology of Gender class in years of 2007 and 2011.
