Geranium jainii (Geraniaceae), a new species from Himachal Pradesh, India

Abstract

Geranium jainii Imtiyaz Hurrah & Vijay Wagh, a new species of Geranium subg. Geranium , is described and illustrated. Morphological comparison of G. jainii with related species (e.g. G. collinum , G. pratense and G. himalayense ) and a taxonomic key to distinguish the species are provided. In addition, a detailed description, habitat details, distribution map and conservation status of the new species are given.
