Enterprise Information System Planning Using TOGAF Architecture Development Method on XYZ College

The implementation of enterprise information system architecture (EA) in tertiary institutions is a long and continuous effort to improve service quality for both internal and external universities [1]. This underlines the importance of EA so that universities can align IT resources with business processes and strategies to achieve their goals [2]. This research was conducted at one of the universities in Indonesia. The method used is Togaf ADM (The Open Group Architecture Framework Architecture Development Method). This method provides best practice in enterprise architecture design [3] which emphasizes four steps, namely establishing a vision for information systems architecture, modeling business architecture, modeling information systems architecture, and modeling technology architecture, but in this study, the author discusses three initial steps, namely Preliminary, architectural vision, right down to business architecture. The results of this study are in the form of a description of the college business architecture that can be used as a reference in the next process at Togaf ADM.
