Abstract

Natural gas has a wide range of acid concentrations, from parts per million to 50 volume percentage and higher. Gas sales in the United States require to contain no more than 4 ppm (parts per million). The most widely used processes to sweeten sour natural gas are the alkonolamines, and the most common ones are monoethanol amine (MEA) and diethanolamine (DEA).
