Abstract
This article introduces the basic run environment, main modules and main data files of Visual MODFLOW that is one of the most prevailing international standard 3D professional visual software package in field of ground water resource assessment and mine-water inflow (water-burst) prediction. Based on the characteristics of mine-hydrogeological conditions in China, the authors synthetically analyze and demonstrate the foreground of popularization and application of the Visual MODFLOW in the field of prevention and cure of mine-water. Based on original MODFLOW version, Waterloo Hydrogeological Inc. in Canada applied modern advanced visual technology to develop Visual MODFLOW. The Visual MODFLOW is the most prevailing international standard 3D professional visual software package in simulation and assessment of ground water flow and contaminant transport. This package was firstly published all over the world in August 1994. It consists of MODFLOW (flow assessment), MODPATH (tracer flow line analyses in plane and section) and MT3D (solute movement assessment), and is of powerful graphical visual interface.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
