Abstract

The aim of this work was to conduct a literature review involving the basic concepts of hyperbaric oxygenation, the types of hyperbaric chambers, physiological mechanisms, their indications and contraindications, advantages and disadvantages, volumetric effects, solubility, biochemical and cellular effects; Therapeutic indications and complications associated with hyperbaric oxygenation.
