Research on establishing nature reserve system with national park as the main body: A case study of Potatso National Park System Pilot Area

The establishment of China National Park System is an important part of Ecological Civilization Construction in China. It is of great significance to promote the scientific protection and rational utilization of natural resources, the harmonious coexistence of human and nature, and the construction of Beautiful China. This paper has analyzed the experience and effect of Potatso National Park System Pilot Area, which started its construction in the province independently, and transferred to be one of the national park system pilot area in China. It has also summarized the achievements that Potatso National Park System Pilot Area has obtained in management system, operation mechanism, ecological protection, community development and other aspects. It can be concluded that Potatso National Park System Pilot Area provides the replicable and popularized experience for the construction of national park system with Chinese characteristics for other national parks.
