Abstract

A number of synthetic spectra have been computed for comparison with Canterna, Harris, and Ferrall's low-dispersion spectra of stars in the globular clusters 47 Tuc, NGC 288, NGC 362, M15, M2, and Pal 12. Spectral indices have been deduced from the synthetic spectra and compared with the observed indices. The mean abundances of these six clusters are deduced. 31 references.
