Abstract

In this study, the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow in the presence of microorganisms and nanoparticles on a surface are investigated. The desired outcomes are motile microorganism number, Nusselt number, skin friction coefficient, and Sherwood number. The effect of Brownian motion, thermal radiation, Schmidt number, thermophoresis, Peclet number, Magnetic field, and bioconvection Schmidt number on the desired outcomes are scrutinized. The governing nonlinear PDEs are converted into nonlinear ODEs, and ODEs are solved with MAPLE software by taking advantage of the Runge-Kutta fifth-order method. The results of this study indicate that the microorganism's profile decrements by both the Peclet number and the bio convection Schmidt number. Besides, the Sherwood number is an increasing function of the Schmidt number and thermophoresis parameter. Also, Nusselt number goes up by an increase in bioconvection Schmidt number, Pe number, Brownian motion, and radiation parameter. Furthermore, the dimensionless temperature increases by 31.7% when Brownian motion increases from 0.1 to 0.9. Additionally, by an increase in bio convection Schmidt number from 0.1 to 2, the dimensionless microorganisms profile decreases more than four times.
