Abstract

Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) is a process in which we choose the best alternative from all feasible alternatives. In this paper, we study fuzzy sets with some basic concepts and fuzzy TOPSIS (technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution) method. We proposed the TOPSIS method under a fuzzy environment and expressed the rating of each alternative and weight of each criterion in the form of a triangular fuzzy number. Finally, we used the proposed method for decision making in the garments industry for the selection of supplier.
