Стаття присвячена дослідженню особливостей функціонування займенника it в англійській мові. З’ясовано, що займенник it в англійській мові може виступати в ролі особового, вказівного, емфатичного та ввідного займенника, а також як особовий займенник в безособових реченнях, де він виступає підметом. (The article deals with the peculiarities of the functioning of the pronoun it in the English language. Emphasis rests on the fact that the pronoun it in the English language can function as a personal, demonstrative, emphatic and introductory pronoun, and also as a personal pronoun in impersonal sentences, where it serves as a function of the subject.)
