Abstract

The Columbia and Copperopolis 7 ½ ' Quadrangle s are located approximate ly 80 km northwest of downtown Phoenix in central Arizona. The Quadrangles encompass part of the southern Bradshaw Mountains and include the Sheep Mountain porphyry prospect. Geologic mapping was done under the joint State -Federal STATE MAP program , as specified in the National Geologic Mapping Act of 1992, and w as jointly funded by the Arizona Geological Survey and the U .S . Geological Survey under STATE MAP assistance award #G12AC20464. Mapping was compiled digitally using ESRI ArcGIS software .
