Flood hazard zonation in the Aghlaghan chay watershed using by ANP model

Abstract

Flood are amongest the damaging natural hazards in mountainous area. Identify prone areas for flood is basic steps in natural resources management and Development planning. Aghlaghan chay watershed topography and Climate are very prone to occurrence of flood, and this damage to the rural settlements, farms and communication. The occourence of such a phenomenone, While increasesoil erosion, and loss of valuable soil resources, exacerbated Yamchi Dam the reservoir is filled. Therefore, the porpous of the present study show regarding potential zoning area of the range of flood. In this study, the first, we investigated nine flood risk factors in the region. These factors are: slope, aspect, lithology, elevation, rainfall, temperature, landuse, soil and distance from drainage. Then data layers were prepared by GIS. The value of investments and standard benchmark map was combined with Fuzzy method. We used overall weight of the factors by ANP models. Ultimately zoning map was prepared of the five categories from very low to very high risk. According to the results, Slope, elevation and distance from drainage highest value allocated to flood in Aghlaghan chay watershed. According to finally map of potential Flood hazard classification, classes of very high risk and high risk respectively owned 18 and 22 percent area of all catchment areas. All to over according to the study results, Aghlaghan chay basin have very high potential for the flood hazard event. Therefore, conservation measures, watershed and basin management studies are warrented.
