Geologic map of the Cactus Forest 7 ½' Quadrangle, Pinal County, Arizona V. 1.0

The Cactus Forest quadrangle is in the Basin and Range province in central Arizona and covers part of the middle Gila Valley in Pinal County southeast of Florence, Arizona, and west of the Ninetysix Hills. The map area is almost entirely covered by Quarternary surficial deposits, depicted in detail on the map. Two low bedrock hills crop out near the eastern margin of the quadrangle (Skotnicki, 1999). While previously mapped in reconnaissance fashion, the detailed surficial mapping shown here is all new.
