Abstract

269 Summary Laws that impact mobile journalism are a country-specific conundrum. However, issues of privacy, defamation and copyright that impact all journalists become exponentially relevant in a globalised, media-rich online landscape. In this chapter I take an Australian POV to describe principles of defamation and copyright law that apply to journalists. Many of these principles will apply globally; however, you should always check the information provided against your country’s specific laws before you act.
