Education and Management on the Laboratory Safety in Materials Science

Since the laboratory is an important place for both teachers and students engaging in experimental teaching and scientific research in higher education institutions, it is necessary to improve the safety awareness and strengthen safety management. Based on the actual situation of the material processing engineering laboratory, this paper analyzes the characteristics of professional laboratories, points out the possible safety problems in the laboratory, and affords the corresponding education methods of laboratory safety and the feasible management measures. Opening laboratory-safety courses and strengthening safety management are the main development directions for safety management in professional laboratories, which is benefit for students to improve the safety awareness and safety skills.
