Abstract

Species Homo erectus is a part of evolutionary chain of the genus Homo, whose evolution leads to development of contemporary human Homo sapiens sapiens. It had evolved in Africa, acquiring characterists such as bipedal walk, increase of cranial capacity, tool-making ability and forming of social skills. It is the first species of the genus Homo which had left Africa and migrated to Euroasia. This text describes some of the most distinguished archeological sites. The purpose of this work is to show discontinuous course of the earliest human migrations to the Old World continents and to provide information regarding the origin of the earliest known migrants.
