Abstract
The state of public education at the present moment can be characterized as critical. This is reflected, in particular, in the fact that a substantial portion of adolescents are observed to have a negative attitude toward school; this is manifested in a lack of interest in studies, skipping classes, and frequent conflicts with teachers. The basic purpose of the study that we conducted was to gain an understanding of students' attitudes towards school and to determine the factors that shape adolescents' positive and negative attitudes toward school, in particular those factors that depend on pedagogical collectives.
