Abstract
A travel time-flow model was developed for four major traffic corridors in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. A survey was conducted to collect data on traffic volumes and travel times. The parameters considered in the model were degree of heterogeneity, number of lanes, and average number of signalised intersections per km. Regression analysis was used to describe the relationship between traffic flow and travel time. Travel time flow equations were derived. These could be used to calculate vehicle link travel time as a function of travel flow in the city.
