Abstract
In this paper, we briefly describe the mathematical structure lattice and its cryptographic hard problems. The lattice based public key cryptosystem NTRU and its matrix variant Matrix NTRU are analyzed. Based on the analysis we propose the algebraic structure Matrix Lie Group as an alternative for the algebraic structure in Matrix NTRU in order to overcome some of the flaws in the Matrix NTRU cryptosystem.
