Abstract
In this digitized world, the need of information security is increasing and the most common way to get data is through Human Hacking i.e. Social Engineering. The biggest threat to the organization is humans, Hackers use social engineering to exploit the humans to get their sensitive information to exploit them. Social engineering is the technique that uses manipulation to trap users into making security blunder or giving away sensitive details of their bank accounts and other confidential information. In this paper, we will discuss about Social Engineering, Social Engineering stages, it’s types, target of hackers and its mitigation techniques, with some real-life proofs of the social engineering.
