Abstract
본 총설 논문에서는 스핀트로닉스 분야 실험을 해석하는데 있어서 자주 활용되는 spin diffusion 이론이 유도되는 과정을 두 가지 핵심적인 가정과 함께 소개하였다. 최근 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있는 강자성층/비자성층 구조에 면내 전류를 주입하여 발생하는 spin-orbit torque를 분석하는데 spin diffusion 이론을 적용한 예를 설명하였다. 이 경우 spin diffusion 이론의 두 가지 가정이 일반적으로 성립되지 않는 문제로 인해 발생할 수 있는 해석의 오류에 대해 논하였다.
