Abstract

It is lack of relatively perfect scheme for the design of 10kV large-current switchgear above 4000A, in particular with many problems on selection and design of main busbar specification. The selection of type and specification of main busbar has direct influences on the current-carrying capacity and installation & connection technology of busbar as well as the safe and stable operation of switchgear. Through analysis on the common factors which affect the safety operation of equipment, including heating and eddy, of the large-current busbar, based on the existing high-voltage switchgear of KYN28A type, by calculating, stimulating and optimizing the design, a kind of copper busbar with special specification is determined as the main busbar and is provided with optimization on the busbar space arrangement; the main busbar system of high-voltage switchgear with rated current of 4000A is designed.
