Preparing for China Risk and Necessity of Establishing Strategic Geopolitics on the Korean Peninsula - Focusing on Northern Economic Cooperation -

Abstract

This study examines the situation of the Korean peninsula from a geopolitical point of view and argues that Korea should establish a strategic geopolitics of Korean peninsular geopolitics by breaking away from the geopolitics defined by the great powers. As the US-China trade dispute is prolonged, this study defines the greatest danger facing the Korean peninsula as China"s risk, and proposed North economic cooperation as a practical plan, establishing the strategic geopolitics as a framework of strategic thinking to overcome it. Provision against China"s risk and the US-China trade war gradually diminish dependence on China. It is necessary to understand the geopolitical strategy of the great powers that are exercising influence in Northeast Asia and to establish the Korean peninsula strategic geopolitics according to the geopolitical status of Korea. The purpose of this study is to find out the implications of Korea "s economic, diplomatic and security implications for the preparation of the peace regime on the Korean peninsula and the future of the Korean peninsula in the future.
