Abstract

Bridge is the hinge of transportation system and the important component of lifeline project. the seismic research on which has always been the focus of attention. In recent years, advances in science and technology and changes in design concepts have also brought about innovations in seismic design of bridges. Firstly, in the actual stages of design, operation, maintenance, the work will become more efficient and the seismic performance of the actual bridge will be higher, showing a higher intelligence. Secondly, the seismic design also needs to take into account the recoverability after the earthquake, avoiding the long-term interruption of the function, that is, the resilience of the bridge seismic design. From these two perspectives, this paper reviews the history of bridge seismic research and the work to be improved. Finally, the future of bridge seismic research is rationally considered.
