Abstract

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To compare the effects of early intrauterine device (IUD) removal and conventional treatment, including antibiotic treatment (any concentration, frequency, duration and route), plus any other specified intervention, such as nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), with conventional treatment only (without early IUD removal for women with PID).
