Abstract
A large number of animal experiments and clinical studies have shown that endovascular hypothermia has neuroprotective effect for ischemic stroke. This article reviews the endovascular hypothermia for ischemic stroke from mechanism of action, clinical research, factors affecting the treatment outcome, and prevention of complications. Key words: Stroke; Brain Ischemia; Hypothermia, Induced; Endovascular Procedures
