Abstract
Objective To investigate significance of T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood in the recovery period of children with asthma. Methods To measure CD3 + T cell, CD4 + T cell, CD8 + T cell and CD4 +/CD8 + ratio by indirect immunofluorescence and compare the results. Results The levels of CD4 + T cell,CD4 + /CD8 + ratio in the children with asthma in the recovery period were significantly lower than those in normal subjects(P < 0. 01,0. 05 ); CD8 + was also significantly higher than that in normal subjects (P < 0. 05 ).There were no significant differences in the level of CD3 + between the children with asthma in the recovery period and healthy subjects(P.> 0. 05). Conclusion There are imbalances of T cell sebsets in the children with asthma in the recovery period ,The imbalances of T cell sebsets may play an important role in asthma chronic airway inflammation. Key words: Children; Asthma; Recovery period; T lyphocytes sebsets
