Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of clinical pathway intervention on improving nursing quality and preventing complications after radical mastectomy. Methods A total of 93 cases of breast cancer patients admitted from January 2015 to April 2017 were randomly divided into the observation group (48 cases) and the control group (45 cases). Both groups were treated with radical mastectomy.Patients in the observation group were given clinical intervention after operation.Patients in the control group were given routine nursing measures after operation. The Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) score, Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)score, hospitalization time, hospitalization cost, quality of life, degree of satisfaction and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After nursing, the scores of SAS and SDS in two groups were significantly decreased. The scores in observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). The hospitalization time and hospitalization cost in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). The scores of postoperative physiological function, physical function, social function, somatic pain and emotional function in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). The satisfaction of the observation group with breast shape, breast size, breast sensation, expected effect and overall effect were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative necrosis of subcutaneous effusion, lymphedema, skin flap necrosis in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Clinical pathway intervention can alleviate anxiety and depression of patients after radical resection of breast cancer, promote their recovery, improve their quality of life and nursing satisfaction, and effectively reduce the occurrence of complications.
