Abstract

Objective To investigate the digital subtraction angiography (DSA) features of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH).Methods DSA was done for 78 patients with SAH.Resuits Aneurysms were found in 61 patients,1 case had moyamoya disease,97% of aneurysms located at anterior circulation.Aneurysm located at posterior circulation (one at the distal of vertebral artery, the other at top of basilar artery) in two cases.Aneurysms were mostly found at posterior communicating artery and in the order of anterior communicating artery, the middle cerebral artery at the first major branch point, anterior cerebral artery (A1 segment, internal carotid artery).DSA might induce cerebral vasospasm or seizure. Conclusions The cause of SAH can be found through DSA.Moreover, the location, size and shape of aneurysms can be seen to guide treatment. Some complications could be induced, but the incidence can be reduced if effective measure is taken ahead. Key words: Subarachnoid hemorrhage;  Digital subtraction angiography(DSA);  Aneurysms
