Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of quality control on the clinical pathway of digestive endoscopy. Methods A total of 196 patients with digestive endoscopic diagnosis and treatment from May to October 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group. The quality control of clinical pathway management and routine nursing care were implemented in two groups respectively. Patients′ satisfaction, nursing error rate and nurses′ self-satisfaction were compared between two groups. Results Patients′ satisfaction and nurses′ self-satisfaction during clinical pathway practice in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group. Nursing error rate in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05) . Conclusions The quality control of endoscopic diagnosis and treatment can effectively improve the patients′ satisfaction and nurses′ self-satisfaction and reduce the occurrence of nursing errors. Key words: Quality control; Clinical pathways; Digestive endoscopy
