Virulence factors and drug-resistance mechanisms of Candida albicans

Abstract

Condida albicans (C.albicans) is an opportunistic fungal organism that is present as part of the normal microbiota d healthy individuals.However,C.albicans can cause life-threatening infections because of impaired host immune system,contaminating medical devices or dysbacteria.Virulence factors and antifungal resistance association of C.albicans are reviewed in this article.
