Diagnosis of thyroid nodules on ultrasonography

Abstract
Thyroid nodules are common and occur in up to 3%-8%of the adult population without any symptom.However,5%-10%of thyroid nodules are malignant.So it is extremely essential to diagnose thyroid carcinoma before surgery.B-type ultrasonography is commonly used to evaluate the thyroid gland and is the first choice of thyroid nodule evaluation before operation.We will address the management of thyroid nodules and lymph nodes detected on ultrasound and introduce the use of elstography in thyroid nodule diagnosis.
