Abstract
Objective To Explore the application of magnetic resonance angiography(MRA) in type 2 diabetic patients with cerebral vascular disease. Methods Randomly selected 82 cases of type 2 diabetes, male 49 cases, female 33 cases, with an average age of (61±6)years, duration of 2.5 to 21 years. All cases were using Siemens Sonata 1.5T MR scanner head MRI and MRA examination. All diagnosis of imaging were conducted independently by three radiologists. Results Twenty cases' MRA imagings showed normal, accounting for 24.4%. Thirty-three cases' MRA imagings showed abnormal, accounting for 40.2%. The difference of normal/abnormal ratio between the two groups of duration below or above 10 years was statistical significance(χ2=12.05, P<0.01). Conclusions MRA can be used for type 2 diabetic patients with cerebral vascular disease screening. It can provide more accurate information on the situation of the brain arteries for clinicians. It can guide the clinical treatment of early intervention to reduce the occurrence of acute cerebral vascular disease.
