Abstract
Objective To study the clinical efficacy of continuous intravenous infusion of aminophylline combined with ipratropium bromide in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods Fifty patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease admitted in our hospital from January 2016 to December 2016 were randomly divided into observation group (n=25) and control group (n=25). The observation group was treated with continuous intravenous infusion of aminophylline combined with ipratropium bromide, while the control group was only treated with ipratropium bromide. FEV1/FVC (one-second forced expiratory volume occupying percentage of vital capacity), FEV1% (one-second forced expiratory volume as a percentage of predicted value), and final outcome were compared between the two groups. Results The effect of continuous intravenous infusion of aminophylline combined with ipratropium bromide (96.00%) was significantly higher than that of ipratropium bromide alone (76.00%). After treatment, the improvement of FEV1/FVC and FEV1% indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group. Conclusion In the treatment of patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, continuous intravenous infusion of aminophylline combined with ipratropium bromide can improve FEV1/FVC and FEV1%, with good clinical effect. Key words: Aminophylline; Ipratropium bromide; Acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Curative effect
