Characteristics and enlightenment of American continuing medical education model

After China’s reform and opening up, the concept of continuing medical education in china. The introduction of the concept of continuing medical education in our country and the establishment of the system, drawing lessons from the experience of the United States to continue medical education system. In this paper, the characteristics of continuing medical education in the United States from 7 aspects are described: ①.Continuing medical education and physician’s license registration; ②Physicians attending continuing medical education; ③Continuing medical education activities; ④Certification of continuing medical education activities organized by the unit; ⑤Medical academic community to provide support for physician success; ⑥Commercial sponsorship of continuing medical education; ⑦A variety of continuing medical education activities. By understanding the American continuing medical education model and its successful experience, 3 aspects of beneficial enlightenment for the improvement of China’s continuing medical education system will have a positive role.
