Counteraction of skin photoaging:an update

Skin photoaging has attracted more and more attention from researchers.A variety of methods have been put forward to prevent and treat skin photoaging,such as the external use of sunscreens,antioxidants and cosmeceuticals,oral administration of antioxidants containing various vitamins and microelements as well as anti-photoaging medicines,and dietary intake of antioxidant-rich food.Recently,researchers have found a new anti-photoaging material-adipose-derived stem cells.Skin photoaging can also be treated by laser,injection of Botox or collagen,and even surgical operation.This article describes the clinical features of skin photoaging,latest and most commonly used protective measures against photoaging and their therapeutic principles.
